Chapter 10 - A Sovereign Dawn

Two years after the night of Adrian’s welcome party, the world was completely transformed.
Adrian Cole was serving his sentence in a maximum-security federal facility upstate, completely forgotten by the high-society circles he had tried so desperately to conquer. Celeste was in a women’s correctional facility, facing the quiet, empty reality of her own greed.
As for me, my life was vast, beautiful, and entirely my own.
I sat on the private balcony of my penthouse apartment overlooking Central Park, sipping a cup of hot green tea while watching the morning sun paint the Manhattan skyline in brilliant shades of gold and rose.
My silver crescent-moon necklace caught the morning light, sparkling with the brilliant fire of the tiny sapphire at its center.
My phone chimed on the patio table. It was a message from Gabriel: “Breakfast at the estate this morning? We’re reviewing the global expansion plans for the foundation.”

I stood up, adjusted my blazer, and walked out into the bright, boundless morning. The nightmare was over. The crown was mine. And the future stretched out before me, limitless and free.
