She underestimated one thing: the people she had stepped on.
As she shopped her story to the local news stations, the victims of her previous transgressions—the staff she had berated at galas, the assistants she had fired, and the business associates she had cheated—began to come forward. The internet, which had once been a platform for her vanity, became the judge of her character.
Videos surfaced of her berating waiters, texts leaked of her mocking Julian’s parents, and the proof of her own financial mismanagement came to light. The narrative shifted entirely. She became a pariah, not because of our intervention, but because of her own sustained pattern of cruelty.
We didn't have to lift a finger. We watched from the living room as her social standing dissolved in a single news cycle.
