PART 2: The Other Little Girl

I stared at the drawing for nearly an hour.
"He hurts her too."
Who was the other girl?
And why was Lily trying to tell me without saying it out loud?
The next morning I asked carefully.
Lily hesitated.
Then pointed to a class photo.
A small girl named Emma.
Seven years old.
Shy.
Quiet.
Almost invisible.
The same way Lily had become.
I contacted Emma's mother immediately.
At first she sounded confused.
Then frightened.
When I explained everything, she became silent.
Finally she whispered:
"Emma has been having nightmares."
My heart sank.
The similarities were impossible to ignore.
We agreed to meet.
Neither child wanted to talk much.
But both seemed terrified whenever the principal's name came up.
Still, there wasn't enough evidence.
Not enough for police.
Not enough for the school district.
Not enough for anyone willing to challenge a respected man.
Then something happened.
A teacher called me anonymously.
Her voice was trembling.
"I can't stay silent anymore."
She explained that several staff members had reported concerns over the years.
Small concerns.
Strange interactions.
Children crying after private meetings.
Complaints that somehow disappeared.
Files that were never followed up.
The more she spoke, the colder I felt.
This wasn't one incident.
This was a pattern.
A pattern buried beneath years of reputation and power.
Then the teacher said something that chilled me.
"You're not the first parent who tried to report him."
I nearly dropped the phone.
"What?"
"There were others."
"Several."
"But nobody believed them."
For the first time, I realized just how big this might be.
And then another parent came forward.
Then another.
And another.
The wall of silence was beginning to crack.
But the person who would finally break it completely...
wasn't an adult.
May you like
It was a little girl.
