Chapter 3 - The Digital Execution

By 11:30 PM, the Sector Seven warehouse was illuminated only by the frantic, pulsing blue light of three parallel monitor arrays.

Sarah sat in front of the master terminal, her fingers flying across the mechanical keyboard with the terrifying speed of a virtuoso pianist. Decades of muscle memory, long buried beneath PTA meetings, grocery lists, and piano lessons for Chloe, surged back to the surface. Her mind operated in pure tactical syntax—firewalls, proxy chains, cryptographic decoders, and financial routing nodes.

"Target acquired," Marcus muttered, leaning over her shoulder and tapping the screen. "Liam Sterling’s primary corporate holding, Sterling Maritime Logistics, is deeply leveraged. They’ve been artificially inflating their asset values by hiding millions in shadow accounts based out of the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands. Standard white-collar fraud, enabled by a corrupt board of directors."

"It's not just fraud," Sarah said, her eyes narrowing as she decrypted a heavily encrypted corporate ledger labeled Internal Compliance & Discretionary Fund. "Look at this sub-folder. This isn't just offshore tax evasion. This is hush money."

Marcus leaned in closer, reading the scrolling lines of text. "Good God. Payments made to local police inspectors, municipal zoning commissioners, and environmental regulatory officials. They've been dumping industrial waste into the Boston harbor shipping lanes for five years, paying off inspectors to falsify safety reports."

A dark, humorless smile touched Sarah’s lips. "Liam thought he was a ruthless businessman. He was just a reckless amateur playing with matches near a powder keg. Let's light the fuse."

With a sequence of precise keystrokes, Sarah initiated a master script designed by Sector Seven’s elite cyber division.

Across the globe, hidden scripts executed simultaneously. In Zurich, Geneva, and the Cayman Islands, automated financial freezing protocols locked down every single corporate and personal account tied to Liam Sterling, Eleanor Sterling, and the Sterling Family Trust. Within seconds, their liquidity dropped to absolute zero. Credit cards declined. Corporate payroll transfers failed. Automated lines of credit were instantly severed by automated risk-assessment algorithms triggered by the massive influx of unverified, suspicious asset movements flagged by Sarah's override sequence.

Simultaneously, an encrypted, heavily detailed data packet containing five years of financial fraud, offshore shell corporation registries, and environmental dumping records was automatically transmitted directly to the secure tip lines of the FBI’s White-Collar Crime Division, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the investigative desks of the Boston Globe and the Wall Street Journal.

"That's the money gone," Marcus said, watching the server logs scroll green confirmation codes down the screen. "What about the personal destruction?"

"Not yet," Sarah replied quietly, her fingers hovering over the enter key for a secondary payload. "First, we break his foundation."

She accessed the Sterling family's private residential security and smart-home network. Through Sector Seven’s advanced intrusion tools, Sarah bypassed the domestic firewall of the mansion with effortless precision. She didn't trigger alarms. She didn't trip sensors. She simply mirrored the master control panel directly onto her secondary monitor.

On the screen, live infrared camera feeds from inside the Sterling mansion flickered to life.

The house was dark. In the massive king-sized bed in the master suite, Liam Sterling was snoring softly, sleeping the sleep of a man with zero conscience. Down the hall in the guest wing, Eleanor Sterling was fast asleep, wrapped in silk sheets, blissfully unaware that the world she had built on cruelty and arrogance was about to implode.

Sarah opened the master climate control and lighting automation program. With a single click, she disabled the bedroom locks, programmed all exterior security floodlights to strobe erratically at 3:00 AM, and set the internal smart-speaker system to play a continuous, low-frequency white noise loop designed to induce severe psychological disorientation.

"That'll ruin their beauty sleep," Marcus chuckled darkly.

"Sleep is a luxury they lost the moment they laid hands on my daughter," Sarah said, standing up from the console. Her joints popped, and her eyes burned with exhaustion, but her adrenaline remained a roaring engine. "Marcus, I need the transport."

"It's fueled and waiting in bay three," Marcus said, tossing a set of heavy brass keys onto the desk. "A matte-black utility van with scrambled plates. Untraceable."

"Keep the servers running," Sarah ordered, pulling her leather jacket back on. "If Liam tries to liquidate anything else, or if his lawyers make a move, route it straight to my mobile terminal. I'm going back to St. Jude's to sit with Chloe. Then, at sunrise, I go pay my son-in-law a visit."

Marcus walked her to the heavy steel door, his expression solemn. "Sarah... be careful. A cornered animal is dangerous. Liam has money, and men like him get very unpredictable when their wealth is stripped away."

"Let him try to bite," Sarah said coldly, stepping out into the chilly pre-dawn mist. "I built this world, Marcus. He's just living in it."
