She lost full legal custody of her two sons to Mark, who was granted permission by the family court to relocate with the boys to North Carolina.
Mark Miller: Received a three-year suspended sentence and five hundred hours of community service due to his full cooperation with federal auditors. He surrendered all remaining corporate assets, declared personal bankruptcy, and moved away to rebuild his life as a junior draftsman in a smaller town.
Richard and Eleanor Bennett: My parents were forced to complete three hundred hours of mandatory community service and pay $45,000 in court fines for complicity. Deprived of their trust-subsidized lifestyle, they were evicted from their custom home. They were forced to sell off their remaining jewelry and luxury cars, moving into a modest two-bedroom rental apartment on the outskirts of Columbia, living entirely off my father’s basic state pension.
