The man in the shop had been a courier, but the message he carried wasn't verbal. He had left behind a physical drive, placed precisely on the shelf where Clara kept the poetry. When she plugged it into her encrypted rig, the screen bled red.

"He didn't just have one server," Clara whispered, her face pale in the light of the monitor. "He had a redundant mirror in a black-site bunker in the Carpathian Mountains."
