Chapter 10 - A New Dawn

The morning sun rose over the Hamptons estate, washing the manicured lawns and white-columned veranda in brilliant, golden light.

Down in the massive country kitchen, the smell of fresh coffee and blueberry pancakes filled the air.

“More syrup, please!” Lily demanded happily, waving her fork in the air.

“Only if you finish your fruit first, bug,” Veronica laughed, dishing out fresh strawberries onto the girls' plates.

Rory walked into the kitchen, dressed in a casual charcoal sweater and dark jeans. He stopped in the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed, simply watching the scene unfold.

For years, his home had felt like a fortress—cold, heavily guarded, and haunted by the ghosts of his enemies.

Now, with the morning sunlight streaming through the windows, the sound of children laughing, and the woman he loved moving effortlessly around the kitchen, it finally felt like a home.

Veronica turned from the stove, catching his gaze. A soft, knowing smile spread across her face.

Rory pushed off the doorframe, walking across the kitchen. He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pulling her flush against his chest as he buried his face in her neck, breathing in her scent.

“Good morning, Mrs. Starks,” Rory murmured against her skin, a low, rumbling chuckle vibrating through his chest.

Veronica leaned back into his embrace, resting her hands over his. “Good morning, Mr. Starks.”

At the table, Lily and Rose giggled, covering their mouths with sticky little hands as they watched their father kiss their new mother.

The monsters were gone. The shadows had retreated. And in the heart of the Starks empire, a new, unbreakable family had finally found peace.
