Chapter 7 - The Final Reckoning

One month later. Florence, Italy.
The grand courtyard of the Palazzo De’ Medici was lit with thousands of twinkling fairy lights. The air was filled with the intoxicating scent of blooming Jasmine and the rich melodies of a live orchestra playing classical Italian opera.
Florence's high society, international diplomats, and elite art collectors had gathered for the most exclusive charity gala of the year.
The event was held to support international victims of human trafficking and illegal confinement—a foundation established and funded entirely by the Castillo Global Empire.
At nine o'clock, the crowd parted as Alejandro and Elena Castillo stepped out onto the marble terrace.
Alejandro looked imposing and breathtaking in a tailored black tuxedo. Beside him, Elena was an absolute vision. She wore a dramatic crimson gown that flowed behind her like liquid silk, a diamond necklace glittering against her collarbone.
She walked with her head held high, her posture regal, her smile captivating the entire room.
Reporters and photographers from every major European publication crowded around the red carpet, flashbulbs exploding in a continuous frenzy.
"Mrs. Castillo! Over here!" "Elena! How does it feel to be back in Florence?!" "What message do you have for the world tonight?!"
Elena stopped in front of the main news microphone. Alejandro stepped back slightly, allowing his wife to take center stage, his eyes filled with absolute devotion.
Elena looked straight into the camera lens—knowing that the broadcast was airing live across Europe and America, knowing that inside a federal prison cell, Vivian Moretti and Gabriel Castillo were watching from a small television screen.
"Three years ago, darkness tried to erase my name," Elena spoke into the microphone, her voice resonant, powerful, and utterly devoid of fear. "They tried to make me believe I was powerless. They tried to bring me to my knees in my own home."
The entire courtyard went completely silent, every guest hanging on her every word.

"But cruelty is an illusion born of weakness," Elena continued, a triumphant smile touching her lips. "To those who are suffering in the dark right now: do not lose your voice. Hold on. Because justice is coming, and the dawn always breaks."
The crowd erupted into thunderous applause, cheers echoing off the ancient stone walls of the palazzo.
