Chapter 10 - Dawn of a New Legacy

One year later.

The Hudson Valley estate was alive with the sound of music, laughter, and chatter.

It wasn't a gathering of syndicate bosses, politicians, or fearful associates. It was a family wedding—small, elegant, and filled with genuine warmth.

Dr. Keller was there, chatting with Marcus near the bar. Walter, the veteran groundskeeper who had planted the rose gardens fifty years ago, smiled proudly from the front row.

And standing at the altar beneath a white floral archway was Dominic Vale.

He wore a tailored black tuxedo, but the rigid, intimidating aura of the mafia boss was entirely gone, replaced by the radiant, grounded happiness of a man who had finally found his true home.

The violin strings swelled.

The heavy double doors of the conservatory opened.

Mia walked down the aisle. She wore a simple, breathtaking ivory gown that caught the afternoon sunlight, her hazel eyes shining with unshed tears of pure joy. Walking just ahead of her, scattering white rose petals across the marble floor in a little yellow dress, was five-year-old Harper, giggling as she tossed petals toward Dominic.

When Mia reached the altar, Dominic took her hands in his. His calloused fingers intertwined smoothly with hers, his dark eyes brimming with an intensity that needed no words.

The minister smiled warmly.

“We are gathered here today to celebrate a union built not on power, nor fear, but on grace, survival, and unconditional love...”

As Dominic slipped the simple platinum band onto Mia’s finger and leaned in to kiss his bride—amidst the deafening applause and cheering from their true family—he knew the final truth of his life.
