Chapter 9 - Healing and Resolution

Spring returned to New York, bringing with it warmth, renewal, and blooming cherry blossoms across Central Park.

Inside Mount Sinai Hospital, Madison Hayes sat propped up in her bed, laughing as a team of leading specialists confirmed the incredible news: her experimental treatment had been completely successful, and her autoimmune disease was in full, permanent remission.

Harper stood by the window, watching her sister smile, feeling a profound weight lift off her shoulders. Her debts were gone, her sister was healthy, and her life had completely transformed.

Behind her, strong arms wrapped around her waist, and a familiar chin rested gently on her shoulder. Dominic pressed a soft kiss to her neck, his hand resting protectively over her noticeably rounded belly—she was now five months pregnant, glowing and radiant.

“Your sister is going to be just fine,” Dominic murmured, his voice rich with contentment.

“Because of you,” Harper turned in his embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck. “You saved us, Dominic.”

“No, tesoro,” he corrected softly, looking down at her with absolute adoration. “You saved me. You brought light into a dark house, and you gave me a real family.”

Madison cleared her throat playfully from the bed, smiling at them. “Hey, lovebirds, stop making eyes at each other. Some of us want to talk about baby names!”

Dominic chuckled, a rich, genuine sound, pulling Harper closer as they walked over to join Madison. The darkness of the underworld was gone, replaced by a future built on truth, devotion, and unbreakable love.
