Chapter 7 - The Escape

The capture of Mark was just the beginning. As the police dragged him out, the true scope of the corruption became clear. The legal team, led by Katherine Vane, attempted to flee, but the evidence was now public.
However, the "Architect"—the administrator who had threatened Sarah—was nowhere to be found.
"He’s not in the building," Clara reported, checking the security logs. "He triggered a remote wipe of his office and fled through the service tunnel."
Elena stood in the center of the chaos, clutching her newborn daughter, who had been brought to her by a nurse. Lily, who had been watching from the doorway, ran to her mother. The nightmare was surfacing, but the danger hadn't been fully neutralized. They were now targets.
"We can't go home," Sarah said, handing Elena a set of keys to her own private cabin in the mountains. "The police will have the station swarmed, but the Architects have eyes everywhere. They’ll come for the witnesses before the grand jury convenes."
