Chapter 10 - A Home Built on Love

One Year Later.
The grand lawn of the Callahan estate was decorated with white silk canopies, thousands of fresh white lilies, and golden fairy lights strung through the ancient oak trees.
A gentle summer breeze blew off the sound, carrying the sweet scent of saltwater and summer flowers.
Over two hundred guests—family friends, corporate allies, federal agents, and community members—sat in the white wooden chairs facing a magnificent floral arch overlooking the rolling green hills.
Standing at the altar in a tailored black tuxedo was Trevor Callahan. Beside him as best man was his trusted security director, Gareth, holding a small velvet ring pillow.
The soft, angelic chords of a string quartet filled the air.
The crowd stood up as the flower girl and ring bearer walked down the aisle—three-year-old Paige, wearing a tiny white lace dress, and three-year-old Jonah, wearing a handsome little bow tie, tossing rose petals onto the white runner with cheerful giggles.
Then, the music swelled into a majestic, breathtaking melody.
Walking down the aisle on the arm of her long-time mentor, Agent Croft, was Keisha.
She looked utterly breathtaking in a custom silk gown that trailed softly behind her, a delicate lace veil framing her radiant, glowing face. Her dark eyes were locked onto Trevor, shining with a depth of love and happiness that illuminated the entire garden.
When Croft handed her hand to Trevor at the altar, Trevor squeezed it gently, whispering, "You look beyond beautiful."
"You don't look too bad yourself, billionaire," she whispered back with a radiant smile.
The marriage officiant stepped forward, his voice echoing warmly through the quiet garden.
"We are gathered here today not merely to unite two lives in holy matrimony, but to celebrate the triumph of love, courage, and family over the darkest shadows of life," the officiant began. "Trevor and Keisha’s journey began in a storm, but today, they stand together in the golden light of a promise that can never be broken."
They exchanged their personalized vows—words of deep gratitude, fierce loyalty, and eternal devotion that brought tears to the eyes of every guest in attendance.
"With this ring," Trevor said, slipping the platinum wedding band onto Keisha’s finger, "I give you my heart, my life, and my promise that you and our children will never stand alone again."
"With this ring," Keisha wept happily, slipping his band onto his finger, "I give you my strength, my love, and my vow that our home will forever be built on truth, laughter, and light."
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!" the officiant declared joyfully. "Trevor, you may kiss your bride!"
Trevor pulled Keisha into his arms, dipping her slightly as he kissed her with all the passion and devotion in his soul. The entire crowd erupted into thunderous applause, cheers, and joyous celebration.
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon in a breathtaking display of pink and purple light, a magnificent fireworks display lit up the night sky over the estate.
Trevor and Keisha stood together on the high patio deck, wrapped in each other's arms. Jonah and Paige were sitting safely on a soft lounge chair nearby, giggled in awe as bright green and gold sparks burst across the stars.
Keisha rested her head against Trevor’s chest, feeling the steady, strong beat of his heart.
"What are you thinking about?" Trevor whispered softly, kissing the top of her head.
Keisha looked over at the twins, then up at the beautiful mansion behind them—a home no longer cold, dark, or secretive, but overflowing with warmth, safety, and endless love.
"I was thinking about that night," Keisha smiled softly, resting her hand gently against her stomach, where a tiny new life had just begun to grow—a secret they were excited to share with the family tomorrow. "The night you found me asleep on the nursery floor."

Trevor smiled, wrapping his arms tighter around her waist, pulling her flush against his chest as the fireworks illuminated their faces in brilliant light.
"That was the night my life truly began," Trevor whispered gently into her ear. "And this is where our story stays forever in the light."
